Dr Lovell-Smith is the founder of the DigestionReady programme. His interest in digestion dates back to the 1970s and he has refined the programme over the last 45 years. In 2006 he received a prestigious scholarship from Auckland University to further his interest and he completed his PhD in 2010. He has published widely on eating when digestionready in the medical literature.
